How do I track a trip?

Tap Start Trip when you start driving and Stop when you arrive. You can lock your iPhone or use other apps in between. When you stop, check the purpose (Business or Personal), add a note and save. You can also add trips manually with +.

Can I start or stop a trip without opening the app?

Yes. While a trip runs, a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island shows the distance and time, with a Stop button. Add the Mileage Log widget to your Home Screen to start a trip or see your year at a glance. With Siri, say “Start a trip in Mileage Log” or “Stop my trip in Mileage Log”. If the Live Activity doesn't appear, open the iPhone Settings app → Mileage Log and turn on Live Activities.

Can I log more than one vehicle?

Yes, with Pro. Go to Settings → Vehicles → Add Vehicle. Tap a vehicle to make it the default for new trips, and change it on any trip. In Reports, choose a vehicle to get its own PDF and totals.

The distance isn't being measured.

Open the iPhone Settings app → Mileage Log → Location and choose While Using the App. Make sure Precise Location is on.

How is the deduction calculated?

Choose your rate in Settings → Mileage Rate: IRS (United States), HMRC (United Kingdom), CRA (Canada), ATO (Australia) or a custom rate, such as your employer's reimbursement rate. The amount shown is an estimate for the tax year, not tax advice. Official rates change every year; check them with your tax authority or accountant.

How do I send my logbook to my accountant?

Go to Reports, choose the period and tap PDF Report or Export CSV (Pro). The CSV opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.

Where is my data stored? How do I move to a new iPhone?

All trips stay on your iPhone. With Pro, use Settings → Export Backup and save the file to iCloud Drive or Files. On the new iPhone, choose Restore from Backup.

How do I restore or cancel my purchase?

To restore, tap Restore Purchases in Settings. To cancel a subscription, open the iPhone Settings app → your name → Subscriptions.
