How do I get started?

Add your salary and payday, then your bills (rent, power, phone, loans) with their due dates, and your credit cards with their closing and due days. The Month tab shows what comes in, what goes out and what's really left.

How do bill reminders work?

You get a reminder before each bill is due (choose 0 to 5 days in Settings → Reminders), on the due date, and on the days after until you mark it as paid. Tap Mark as Paid right in the notification. If reminders don't arrive on iPhone, open the Settings app → Notifications → Money Log and allow notifications; on Android, open the phone's Settings → Apps → Money Log → Notifications.

How does the credit card statement work?

Each card has a closing day and a due day. Purchases before the closing day go to that month's statement; from the closing day on, to the next one. Installment purchases (Pro) are split across the next statements, and purchases marked Charged every month (streaming, apps) go to every statement until you cancel them. Card purchases count in the month their statement is due.

How do I see how much I spend on streaming?

Purchases and bills are filed by category and subcategory, for example Subscriptions › Streaming. Open Insights and tap a category. The subscription radar (Pro) lists every subscription with its yearly cost and suggests what to cut.

Can my month start on payday?

Yes. In Settings → Month starts on, choose your payday. Each month then runs from one paycheck to the next.

How do I import my bank or card statement?

Export the statement from your bank's app or website as CSV or OFX and save it on your phone (in Files on iPhone), then go to Settings → Import Bank Statement (Pro). Choose whether purchases go to a card or to your account, review the list and tap Import. Your own spreadsheet saved as CSV works too.

Can Apple Pay purchases be logged automatically? (iPhone)

Yes. Follow Settings → Log Apple Pay purchases automatically: a Shortcuts automation sends each Apple Pay purchase to Money Log, on the right card's statement. Add the card's last 4 digits in Cards → Edit so it matches.

How does iCloud sync work? (iPhone and iPad)

With Pro, turn on Settings → iCloud sync on each device signed in to the same Apple Account. Data syncs through your own iCloud account when there's a connection; the app keeps working offline.

How do I sync with my partner?

Both of you open Settings → Sync with Partner and keep the phones close, with Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi on. On the phone with Pro, tap the other phone's name; the other one accepts (Android phones first show a code to compare). Everything you each logged is joined on both phones, and the newest change wins. One Pro covers you both. iPhones sync with iPhones and Android phones with Android phones; to move data between an iPhone and an Android phone, use a backup.

How do I lock the app?

On iPhone, turn on Settings → Lock with Face ID; on Android, Settings → Lock with fingerprint or screen lock. Widgets (and Siri on iPhone) then hide your amounts until you open the app.

How do I move to a new device?

On iPhone and iPad, use iCloud sync. On Android, keep your phone's backup on (Android Settings › Google › Backup) and Money Log comes back on a new phone with the same Google account. With Pro you can also use Settings → Export Backup and, on the new device, Restore from Backup. Backups work between iPhone and Android: a backup from one restores on the other.

How do I restore or cancel my purchase?

To restore, tap Restore Purchases in Settings. To change or cancel a subscription, tap Change Plan or Cancel Subscription in Settings. On iPhone you can also open the Settings app → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, the Google Play app → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Purchases don't carry over between the App Store and Google Play.
